The Austin Civic Wind Ensemble has performed free concerts for the citizens of Austin, Texas since 1975.
In 2008 we are celebrating 33 years of performing free concerts in Austin, Texas!
The Austin Civic Wind Ensemble (ACWE) is Austin's oldest community band and is an ensemble formed of both amateur and professional musicians.
The mission of the band is twofold: to provide an ensemble for Austin area musicians who want to pursue music performance as a hobby and to bring public performances of great concert band literature to the Austin community.
Our corporate underwriters and individual sponsors play an
important role in our ability to bring free public performances of
great concert band literature to the Austin Area.
ACWE is an 501(c)3 non-profit corporation so your donation is tax-deductible. In addition to knowing that you make ACWE's free performances possible, we will send you advance notices of upcoming performances. All donors will be recognized on our "Sponsor's Page" unless you request anonymity.
