ACWE starts rehearsing for the Spring, 2023 concert season on January 10, 2023.

Our spring program, Lenny, features American composers Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein. Selections include:

  • Fanfare for the Common Man, Copland
  • Overture to Candide (arr. Grundman)
  • Three Dance Episodes from “On the Town”
  • Symphonic Suite from “On the Waterfront”
  • Slava!
  • Symphonic Dances from West Side Story
  • Make our Garden Grow

The Austin Civic Wind Ensemble is ringing in the holiday season! Rehearsals begin Tuesday, November 4, as we prepare a festive program full of holiday cheer and musical surprises.

Join us for our first appearance of the season at the Austin Zilker Holiday Tree Lighting on Sunday, November 30, followed by our full Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 13.

This Season's Program

The concert at Covenant UMC, 4410 Duval Rd, Austin, TX 78727, will be followed by a gathering of friends.

  • Wear: CONCERT BLACK
  • Bring: Music, instrument

Potluck Reception in the Fellowship Hall directly after the concert. If you're able, please bring a dish/snack/dessert of your choice to share with our fellow bandmates and guests. We'll also need some volunteers to help decorate the Fellowship Hall on Sunday afternoon starting around 2 pm. Please let us know if you're interested and would like to help.
